Adding Parts
The Part section contains questions you want students to solve or answer. Most tutorials consist of at least three Parts (Part A, B, and C). All tutorials must have at least one Part (Part A). The Part designation of A, B, or C is automatically assigned in the order that you create the Parts. Optionally, you can define a title (called a tagline) for each Part.
When you create a new item with the Item Editor, the workspace includes one Part section for you to complete. The default Part answer type is solutionMultipleChoiceRadio. This answer type lets students choose one correct answer from a radio button list.
To use a different answer type:
- In the answer box that displays below the Answer Instructions, right-click in the Value box under Correct Answer(s) and select Remove > solutionMultipleChoiceRadio.
The Value box is where you enter the correct answer for the item.
- Click the add link, and select the answer type to use.
To complete a Part:
- Enter the description of the item in the Part Text field.
- Enter instructions in the Answer Instructions field.
- Enter a correct answer in the Value box.
